Den Making!

The children at the holiday club in Droitwich have been getting creative by making a den. The children spent lots of time putting a variety of different items together, including a rope and tarpaulin and even making a chair from the large construction blocks. They all worked really hard as a team using their different strengths such as, physical, creative and problem solving.

Think Tank Visit

The children at Droitwich holiday club learnt lots of interesting facts whilst visiting the Think Tank in Birmingham. They learnt that polar bears have fur on their feet to keep them warm, and enjoyed feeling how a polar bears fur and skin feel like. The children watched the process of how plastic bottles and metal cans are recycled. They also saw how compost is made by lots of bugs and then felt the texture of the compost. They enjoyed looking at fossils and different bird feathers, learnt how to investigate a crime scene by looking at footprints and fingerprints. Lastly they learnt all about electricity and how it works and how it powers a light bulb, radio and microwave
